I feel right now as if my book is already published and you have written the first–and best–review it could have… All I can say is, thank you! for your professional editing and your wonderful words… Again, I couldn’t be more pleased with your work, and your reaction to the novel itself has given me a great deal of inspiration to continue on to publication.

The book, ‘The High-Tech Gooseneck Putter,’ is at the publishers. Outskirts Press reviewer wrote that the story was unique and well crafted. He continued, ‘A Fun Read.’ I can’t write enough praises for Kristin Johnson, her being and writing skills. I would make a suggestion and she would put it into words, what I in visioned. Thank you, for your help in making my dream come true. I’m sure that I will be using your services in the future.

Wow David, you nailed it again. You have a way with words and simply bringing across ideas. I love it, love it, love it.

If people get this concept…it will make a big difference in their lives. What we are working on will really help people if it is well communicated.

Oh wow, I am crying. It is beautiful. And I am not just saying that because it is my book and all. It flows smoothly. I am pleased. I am confident I will land a contract with that. Now I feel confident. I didn’t feel that confidence before with my manuscript. Being a writer, I know that my manuscript didn’t have the smoothness I was aiming for. Thanks so much.

Five things you should know about book writer contracts

  • A book writing contract names the copyright owner. That protects you.
  • A book writing contract specifies the length of the manuscript.
  • A book writing contract confirms the price to write the book.
  • A book writing contract specifies the payment schedule.
  • A book writing contract names the writer.

Five costs of book writing

  • Payment for writing, typically done in three instalments. This is the main cost; for most clients, this is the only cost.
  • Research, which would be paid by the hour.
  • Personal meetings. Some clients feel it is important to meet face-to-face with the writer. This often adds a per diem, and sometimes travel costs, as well.
  • Transcription. If you provide your information orally, it will have to be transcribed into a format that can easily be searched and scanned.
  • Editing. While we edit and proofread manuscripts before signing off on them, it is always wise to have a totally unrelated editor review them before publishing.

Five things you should know about the cost of writing your book

We don’t compete on price. We compete on quality. Our pricing is carefully designed to ensure that you get a top-quality writer without paying celebrity prices.

  • Writing is a labour intensive job. It costs money.
  • The longer the manuscript, the more it costs.
  • Celebrity ghostwriters are good. Ours are just as good, but you don’t pay extra for the name.
  • You can find cheaper writers on the Internet. If quality is not important to you, that’s fine.
  • Our price includes writing, editing and proofreading. But you should always get a fresh set of eyes to proofread once we are done.

Five things to do once you find a book ghostwriter

  • Explain what you want in the book.
  • Explain who your ideal audience is, and who your other audiences are .
  • Explain what you want readers to think, feel and do when they read your book.
  • Decide how to get information to your writer and how to provide feedback along the way.
  • Sign the contract. Congratulations, you have found a ghostwriter.

Five embellishments for your book

You don’t need these, but they can make your book stand out:

  • graphs
  • photos
  • call-outs
  • diagrams
  • quotes by famous people or authorities
